The Crank & Stroker Origin Story

Where the Ride Really Began

Back in 2007, the industry was shifting. The apparel world was slowing down. Orders were drying up. And we could feel it in our bones — something big was coming. It wasn’t fear. It was experience. We’d seen this kind of quiet before.
Then came the crash — the Great Recession.

When the bottom falls out, you’ve got two choices:
Bail… or build.
We chose to build.

Not from scratch — from skill. We took everything we knew from years in high-quality garment manufacturing and pointed it at something with real meaning: motorcycles.
Real ones. Greasy ones. Loud, fast, honest machines.

If nothing else, we figured we’d be around bikes, building gear for people like us — riders who were overlooked, undervalued, and too damn stubborn to quit.

But first, we needed a name.

Not some cliché knockoff of “tough guy” branding.
Not another tired leatherwear label aimed at midlife crises.

We needed something the real ones would get — the guys who actually turn wrenches. The ones with busted knuckles and stories in their scars. The ones who’d hear it and just nod.

And yeah — it had to have some humor too.
Because if you’ve spent time on a shop floor, you know the laughs are as real as the work.

So Crank & Stroker was born.

A nod to raw power — all motor, all attitude.
And for those with a dirty mind and a wrench in hand… yeah, the name hits twice.

The logo? Took a week. Three hours a night.
No fonts — just a brutal hybrid of two, cut and carved by hand.
And that star? That’s a compass.

Because if you don’t know where you’re headed — you’re already lost.

Crank & Stroker wasn’t built to impress.
It was built to connect.

Never meant for the masses.
Meant for the men who build with their own two hands.
